Help!, having trouble with uninstalling files?

Question

I have a game, Medieval 2 total and i recently installed a patch which does not work and i cant uninstall the patch. Ive tryed to Unistall the whole program but it wont let me untill ive taken the patch away, ive also tryed manually deleting all the files in the games folder and this has no effect. any suggestions?
