car jumping about in 2nd gear?

hi, my twin-turbo legacy has started driving badly in 2nd gear/low revs when its cold. When i shift to 2nd (either down from 3rd or up from 1st) the car starts jumping violently with rev counter bouncing between 2000 and 3000, and i end up having to shift to 3rd immediately.

But after a good 10 mins of driving and its warmed up a bit, 2nd gear is fine all of a sudden.

any ideas on what is causing this?

Sounds like it could be a cold start fuel valve.

It appears like you're nevertheless transferring slightly quick once you regulate right down to 2d equipment. both decelerate extra in third before making the change or ease the take carry of in slowly (you'll listen the engine revs upward thrust to satisfy the speed of the gearbox as you do). you quite shouldn't "bang in" the take carry of after any equipment change besides because it really isn't any solid for the engine mounts (between different issues). stumble on pointers on a thanks to compare the engine p.c. to the selected equipment for a smoother extra progressivecontinual.
