is there a sidewalk in front of your place of residence?

should sidewalks be mandatory in new developments?

    Yes. And yes, especially in neighborhoods with children.

    Yes there is a sidewalk in front of my home, (also a bike lane just around the corner) and yes sidewalks should be mandatory in new developments.

    I live in a rural development. There are no side walks. Heck, our road wasn't even paved until a few years ago. Yes, I think sidewalks should be mandatory. It would be safer for those on foot and would give the properties more "curb appeal." Interesting question.

    No-we moved here from a relatively nice neighborhood to a place where there is no sidewalk, no neighborhood (well, one to walk in) and a busy street. It sucks. I have to walk our dog in the ditch, basically.

  • Yes there is a sidewalk. We are also adding a few bicycle lanes to redeveloped streets.

    No, it's a country road. Yes

  • We call them pavements over here & yes I have one outside my residence, as do most people in the UK.
