Assuming this would be full time (40 hours a week) that would be about $20 per hour

Assuming that you work 8 hours a day for 5 days a week, then during the year, you would work 261 days. (365-(52*2)=365-104=261). Now you take the 40k and divide it by 261. (40000/261=153.257) That shows much you are making per day. Now you take that number and divide it by 8 hours per day. (153.257/8=19.16) You will be making about $19.16 per hour. This answer also includes any holidays, because you get paid for holidays.

Divide 40,000 by 12 (months in a year) , then take that number a divide it by 4 (weeks in a month) and divide that number by 40 (average hours worked in a week) And you will have your answer!

Since it is homework I will let you do the math, but that is how you do it.

You can also multiply 40 hours X 52 (weeks in a year) and divide that number by 40,000.

You might need to round you answers to the nearest dollar, and if you did that you should get about the same answer, within a buck or so.

    Hope that helps!

Depends on how many hours a week you work. If you work 40 hours a week than you are making about 19 dollars an hour. (40000/(52*40)

    Two answers:

Based on a standard US work week (40 hrs) then there are 2080 hours in a year.

    divide 40,000 by 2080. 19.23

    Based on real hours (24 x 365) 8760

    divide 40,000 by 8760 4.566

    $40000/52 = $769 (weekly)

    $769/7 = $110 (daily)

    $110/7 (assuming u work about 7 hours a day) - $15 =)

divide by 52(weeks in the year) then divide by 40(work hours)
