In Vista Ultimate on the same computer the drive responds, so I know that the usb ports are working and I know the flash drive works.
Also - in Ubuntu, I have a usb wireless adapter here in my desk. I plugged it in to the computer while booted in Ubuntu and I connected to my wireless network. So I know that Ubuntu recognizes my USB wireless device. It's just not recognizing that flash drive.
What can I do?

PLEASE READ!!!
As I said above, this flash drive WORKS in Vista on this SAME computer. So please do not tell me the thing is dead. It is fully functional and works absolutely fine. I tested it.
