anybody can score a touchdown if u really think about it...if a lineman happens to intercept and also happens to have blazing speed, then he could possibly score a TD...or if an O-lineman picks up a fumble....

BUT its usually a runningback or a wide receiver that scores a TD...the quarterback hands the ball off to a runningback for a run play, or passes it to a wide receiver for a pass play...either one is good for a TD...if ur close to the goal line, its USUALLY run in by the runningback...if ur further away but dont feel like goin for a field goal...pass it to a receiver, and he may score the TD

    long answer short, yes....

The positions that are most likely to score are Running Back, Wide Receiver, Tight End and QB.

any player on the playing field during play can score with the football... but yes running backs score almost more than any other position

  • The first answer is right. Any player can score a touchdown if he advances the ball over the goalline. But for an offensive lineman it has to be a fumble. For a defensive player it has to be an interception or a fumble.

RB yes they can score and the only people on the offense that cant score would be the linemen unless they pick up a fumble and run it in on the defense anyone can score if they get an interception or a fumble recovery

because whether its one yard or fifty yards each attempt is a major struggle. you have to realize that although the football field may seem huge, its actually tiny when you have a whole team of muscle bound defenders from 150 - 350 lbs who want to knock the sauce outta you. you'd be surprised how hard it is to gain a yard when you have all those factors involved. also, the DEFENSE is trying to hit the ball carrier, not the rest of the team. so even though its a team effort, essentially, the player is the one who scored the TD.

any position can score. the line men people protecting the quarterback can only score on a fumble if they pick it up or if they are eligible.
