    Break each number down into its prime factors first:

    350 / 2 = 175

    175 / 5 = 35

    35 / 5 = 7

    7 / 7 = 1

    2 x 5 x 5 x 7 = 350

    2450 / 2 = 1225

    1225 / 5 = 245

    245 / 5 = 49

    49 / 7 = 7

    7 / 7 = 1

    2 x 5 x 5 x 7 x 7 = 2450

    Take the common factors (2, 5, 5, 7).

    2 x 5 x 5 x 7 = 350

    So the common factor is:

    350

    350 = (2)(5)(5)(7)

    2450 = (2)(5)(5)(7)(7)

    GCF = (2)(5)(5)(7) = 350
