How much would it cost to get professional family portraits taken?

I would like to get portraits taken. I just want to know the range I am looking at. Themed, traditional, whatever. anything would help.

You can pay anywhere from $10 at Walmart to thousands with a quality professional portrait artist. The quality of the work pretty much corresponds to the price.

If you want to find a photographer that is not just a volume studio, you can do a search by zipcode at the Professional Photographers of America website. See here:

There are links to websites for many of the photographers, so you can check out what they offer.

I really like Portrait Innovations. We had our done & their basic package (1 pose w/ 2 8x10, 4 5x7, & a lot of wallets) is only 10.00+. Obviously, you can add poses & mix & match to create your own package for a small fee. What I liked most is that with some of their additional packages, you get the CD of your images, so you can take it anywhere & print off more pics (or do it at home, or send them online to family & friends). Hope this helps!

PS: The quality of the photos was FAR BETTER than that of JC Penney, Sears, Olan Mills portrait studios that we've used previously.
