There is no harm coming from the mild increase in temperatures over the last 100 years. Now if it got cold I would get worried in a big hurry because it would mean millions of starving people looking for food and a warmer place to live. All the barbarian invasions happened during cold periods, not warm periods. 150 years ago when the world was at what the world was in a good climate range we were actually in an unusual cold period scientifically know as the Dalton solar minimum.

Since then the world has warmed a whole .7ºc average, which is about 1ºf., this means that if a day in 1850 was 88ºF by 2008 it had increased to 89ºF. It certainly has not gotten very hot this time around. This optimum is about as mild as the 1600 warming, defiantly not as hot as the 1400 or 1800 ones were. So Alarmisim is so childish when it is so easy for people who can reason to disprove the Alarmisim. You really need to get a brighter teacher because the Columbia trained ones are more politically oriented rather than fact oriented like the ones I studied under.

Global warming is the cyclical nature of the earth, just like seasons. We had ice ages and then warming through out the billions of years of earths geologic history. One massive volcano erruption puts more harmful gases in the atmosphere than all of human existence.

The earth is getting warmer at the moment, no one knows when it will start cooling again. Not even the best climatoligist in the world could answer that.

The Earth is getting warmer. No one knows what will happen in the future, not even biased climatologists or the prophets of the Global Warming Doomsday Cult. It is likely that CO2 from humans should raise the temperature but critical measurements of the atmosphere don't support that is happening. The mid troposphere should be warming but it isn't. The warming is on the surface. It is likely caused by solar cycles. The only historical evidence that matches the heating and warming, including now, is the sun spot or solar activity. Apparently, the solar wind interferes with or reduces the amount of cosmic rays. That makes it sunnier or cloudier and that is the main driving force of climate. CO2 is completely insignificant in comparison. Oops, I think I may have just blasphemed against their global warming gods.

The earth is getting warmer which is very bad. By the next 1-3 years the earth will rise by 3 degrees celsius. It may sound a little but it will do big damage to the environment.

loss of the Arctic sea ice or of the floating Antarctic ice cabinets could have not have been given any consequence on sea point with the aid of fact those already displace water.super Ice lots such with the aid of fact the West Antartic Ice Shelf are actually not bouyant yet supported by ability of land mass. super-scale ice soften could additionally advance sea tiers and flood coastal factors, at present homestead to a pair of million/2 the international's human beings. over the final century, melting in ice caps and mountain glaciers has contributed on average approximately one-5th of the expected 10-25 centimeter (4-10 inch) international sea point upward push-with the rest brought about by ability of thermal enhance of the sea with the aid of fact the Earth warmed. yet ice soften's share in sea point upward push is increasing, and could advance up if the bigger ice sheets fall apart. Antarctica on my own is homestead to 70 p.c. of the planet's sparkling water, and crumple of the WAIS, an ice mass the dimensions of Mexico, could advance sea tiers by ability of an expected 6 meters-together as melting of the two Antarctic ice sheets could advance them practically 70 meters.

It's definately getting cooler. Especially in just the last month its even a lot cooler than several months ago. The media doesn't report this even though its so much cooler that lots of people have to wear jackets now.

Source(s): daily and monthly weather and temperature reports from the National Weather Service.

it's getting warmer. All the pollution is melting the ozone layer of the atmosphere allowing more heat from the sun to reach the surface instead of defecting hence, heating the poles and the earth. The thinner the ozone layer the hotter the earth gets.

to answer your question the earth is getting much hotter.

    It is getting warmer.

A 1 deg or 2 degree rise in temp. of the artic can spell disaster - such as rise of ocean level, that can flood and immerse some countries. The evidence is in the polar icecap, the permafrost is receding.

The wild animals cannot survive without ice - such as polar bear. They are getting low in population.

The chain reaction to warmer temperatures are numerous. I cannot list them all here.

But enough said about global warming. We have to change our way of living or we will reap the consequences one day - if not us, your grandchildren will or your great grandchildren will.

The north and south poles are getting warmer. Huge glaciers, the size of 10 football fields, have literally disappeared in the past 10 years.
