Can you help me solve a problem?

Ok, I was going to purchase a laptop yesterday and i went to my dad to ask him to buy it for me and i would pay him back $30 a month( I am only 14 and i get allowance $15 every friday) he told me we don't make deals like that here. Next thing you know is my brothers transmission in his car goes out. so my mother is making a deal with my brother that my dad should pay to get the transmission fixed and my brother will pay him back monthly. Now, Forget the issues and focus on the deal, if my dad said yes to my brother wouldnt he have to say yes to my deal since it is sort of double crossing.

thanks for your help,

a transmission is a necessity a laptop isn't. save your $15.00 a week until you can afford to buy a laptop.
