Visiting college out of state...?

If a college and I have been emailing back and forth, and they say they want to arrange a visit (and are aware that I am from out of state), who is expected to pay for the travel costs? Myself, or the college?

These colleges are contacting me about playing soccer, if that makes any difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sometimes they may pay for part of the cost, but if I were you I would prepare to pay for the entire visit yourself (transportation, hotel, food, etc.). The best thing to do, though, is to ask whomever it is that you have been speaking to see what their policy is on this.
