Are swollen neck glands cause for concern without any other symptoms?

If the swollen neck glands are painful: Infection; if they are hard and painless: Cancer.
If you are young, they can be related herpes infection, mononucleosis, pharyngitis (sore throat), etc; all are infective diseases.
If you are older and the are painless, see a doc for cancer screening.

your glands swell when they are trying to filter out impurities from the blood . this could be a virus . if it has lasted a long period of time you will need to see your dr. swollen glands can also be caused by cancer .
