Frequent command shortcut keys, F1 is generally understood to function as calling Help window. Think of it as one of those Z-Board toys back in DOS days. Microsoft and few others like Best Buys had a good idea to have a toggle to have the buttons change function as extended USB allows more concrete commands like Print or Send.

f1 brings up the help menu
f2 and f12 often open up the BIOS setup
do a search on function keys, 29 million pages come up
