What is this strange looking animal called? See pic?

It measured about 1 1/2 inches. I found it near the Sequoia National Park in California.

It sounds like that's to impressive of a house to be deserted. contained in the decrease nook of the window is a baby donning a white hoodie looking out the window. the baby is a lot to solid a picture to be a ghost. i do no longer see a 2nd individual contained in the image. i'm no longer a skeptic of ghost yet, I easily have an somewhat solid suspicion that this image is a fraud.

That's a Jerusalem Cricket. They live in the ground in burrows they dig themselves. They feed on vegetable matter. This cricket is completely harmless to humans. They can pinch though, but are not harmful in any way. These insects range throughout the Southwest.

I don't know what that is but man I wish I hadn't looked. I am so creeped out by bugs. Strange considering I can tolerate gory pictures....
