how many total combinations? is it 64 per person for a total of 256?
Actually, now that I did it this way (below) I'm getting 27 per person, for a total of 81....

Assuming you are combining a person, with a specific shirt, pair of pants and pair of shoes then you have 4 choices for each.
4 x 4 x 4 x 4 = 4^4 = 256 ways to clothe a person.

it's 4 x 4 x 4 x 4. 16 x 16. yeah it's 256. 256 divided by 4 gives u the answer for how many per person
