Why doesn't Limewire work?
It worked until about a year ago that it stopped coming on. I've redownloaded it and it still doesn't work Help!

Some ISP's are filtering and blocking limewire at certain times of the day.
Try changing the port :-
Open Limwire>Tools>Options> Advanced>Firewall>Right hand side, Listening on Port>Change that to 64050 > Apply > Then Click OK
You could try any port number range from 49152 to 65535
If that doesn't fix the problem locate and delete the gnutella.net file and restart limewire. If you use XP the file will be in C:\Documents and Settings\*User Name\Application Data\LimeWire *User Name=make sure you type whaever your user name. This might be a hidden file so turn show hidden files and folders on, then locate gnutella.net and delete this file and restart limewire , check if that works.
If you use Vista this file will be under C:\Users\*User Name\AppData\Roaming\LimeWire

try checking your java if java is not installed than limewire wont work at all so download java and see if that works for you.
