is the Burton Vapor 2008 snowboard good?

Is this a good snowboard? I don't know anything about snowboards except that they cost hundreds of dollars. The Burton Vapor seems to be popular, but how is it for beginners?

Agree with Tahoe. That board is for people that want to go fast and spend a grand doing it. Don't buy that board if you are a beginner.

If you don't know anything about snowboards then you should be looking at beginner boards that you can learn and improve on - you shouldn't be looking at $1K advanced boards that will be hard to learn on and will just get trashed as you learn.

I would suggest a Ride Control - start with a directional board with a little setback and a couple of years down the road if you spend all your time in the park then move to a twin board made for freestyle riding.

    Good Luck

You don't need Burton bindings to ride a Burton board. You just need a baseplate to convert it. How experienced are you? You shouldn't be looking to buy a Vapor if you don't even know what bindings to buy.
