Guitar String Types, What are they?
I have been playing for about 3 years, but I recently found out about these new types of strings: Bluegrass, Resophonic, and Baritone. What are they? I did look them up, but I got mandolins and stuff.

Bluegrass strings theoretically are designed for playing guitar in a bluegrass band. Resophonic strings are for a resonator guitar like a Dobro or National. Baritone strings are for a baritone guitar, which has a longer scale than a regular guitar and is pitched lower.Source(s): http://elderly.com/vintage/names/dobro-60d-%281994... http://www.santacruzguitar.com/acousticguitars/det...
