Internet Search Virus, that is infecting my computer?

Alright, so I tried to watch a new release movie on the internet and it downloaded a codec to my computer that seems to be some type of virus that I can't get rid of. CrystalStream was the download so I searched for it and deleted it but now when I open the internet and search via google it will give me a list of sites... but when I click them it will reconnect me to different websites to purchase random things. My internet won't let me connect to any anti-virus sites such as AVG etc. I was able to download AVG via download.com but it won't let AVG update itself and AVG can't find any viruses when I scan. I then tried restoring my computer but the restore feature has been disabled, whenever I try to click Next on the Restore screen my computer doesn't do anything. I have no idea what to do in this situation?

Current malware produces misbehavior in browsers, especially from 'Peer-2-Peer' file sharing sites.

When PC's (personal confusers) misbehave, like pop-up's, going to unrequested sites, goofy warnings, etc.; one step to help reduce annoying pop-ups & un-requested websites from being displayed on your machine is to

    TURN OFF 3rd PARTY COOKIES.

INTERNET EXPLORER: Tools> Internet Options> Privacy> Advanced: here check 'Override automatic....'; 'Allow session cookies'; 'Allow 1st party cookies'; & 'Block 3rd Party Cookies'.

FIREFOX: Tools> Options> Privacy: here UN-CHECK 'Accept 3rd Party cookies'

(OPERA, et al: not sure, check under 'options' for this).

Then, you'll have to ERADICATE MALWARE with Spybot, Ad Aware, and all available trusted cleaners & Anti-virus software, and suggested

TOOLS FOR SPECIFIC INFECTIONS listed from other posts in this forum.

Note: some current 'rouge' malware will undo this change, so you might have to redo this step after malware has been eliminated.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://tinyurl.im/aH3mj

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

I just tried https://webmd.im/verispy last year to see if I could Locate my birth-father. My bio father left me when I was 7, and has refused to be a part of my life since. I grew up with my bio Mother and Step-father. I have only ever talked to my biological father a couple times until now. All I knew of him personally when I conducted the search was his first name, last name, and the street address of a previous address he used to have.

When the search results came back based on the minimal info I had, It pulled up a recent address along with even a phone number. When I called the phone no., I heard the voice of what sounded like it may be my step-brother. I asked if Joseph(my biological dad) was there, and he said no but to try back after 5.

I haven't done anything with the info, But I found what I was wanting to have.

The absolutely free reverse phone lookup sites generally provide the most basic of information such as name and it works only for landlines. To get further information, money will have to be paid. The free searches do not provide much more than what can be found through the phone book or personal knowledge and they only want your email to send spam.

Stay away from shady reverse phone lookup sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse phone lookup site like http://fullbackgroundcheck.info/everify-93.html that has been around since 1999.

If I recall correctly they have two options:

    1. $19 and you get only one report.

    2. $39 and you get unlimited reports. I went with this option because I wanted to verify more numbers. This is how I caught my girlfriend cheating, I got the name, other phone number, address history, relatives, and criminal-court records.
