I have a group of problems that I don't know how to do, can you explain?

Simplify:

3 (2x + 4)

Update:

Is it

6x + 12

?

    multiply 3 times 2x and 3 times 4 and you should get: 6x+12

    3(2x + 4) = 6x + 12 = 6(x + 2)

    you distribute 3 in the paraenthesis and u get ur answer
