Can a wireless N adapter connect to a wireless G router at wireless N distances?

I'm wondering if a wireless N USB adapter could connect to my wireless G router at distances that a Wireless G USB adapter couldn't.

Any help?

No, both devices need to be able to reach each other.

No, you have to have a wireless N router to get wireless N distances. If you use the wireless N with a wireless G router it will work the same as a wireless G usb device.

unlikely, try using an external antenna or fit a parabolic to your accesspoint. These are easily made using aluminum foil, cardboard and prints of the net.
