Do tooth sealants eventually wear down?
Okay, I had tooth sealants applied to my teeth today, and I don't really like it so much. My bite seems a little different, and I think one side may be a little higher than the other. I was wondering if the sealant eventually wears down a little bit and if so, how long does it take?

if theres a problem with your bite, ask the dentist to polish it down. better than waiting years, it could do somethinbg to your biteSource(s): knowledge

Yes the sealants do eventually wear down and need to be replaced. But you should not live with a high sealant it can damage your other teeth and cause jaw pains. Make an appoinment with your dentist it only takes a minute to take down a sealant.
