What kind of store is a candy store?

Department, retail, wholesale, convenience? Not necessarily these, but what is it?

Update:

Is retail and convenience the same thing?

A candy store is a retail store.

A convenience store is a subcategory of a retail store. A supermarket is a retail store, but a retail store that is smaller and located closer to residential areas (i.e. 7-11) is considered a convenience store. It's still retail.

The same is true of Department Stores, Macy's is a retail store which is organized as a Department Store. It still both a retail store and a department store.
