It really depends on where you live. AI schools are everywhere: http://www.artinstitutes.edu/ , Ringling is on the south coast and incredible for 3d: http://www.ringling.edu/

But if you're serious about getting into game design the best thing you can do (before going to school) is join your local chapter of the IGDA (International Game Development Association), go to the next meeting or join their blogs, and start to network. Go to industry meetings, postmortems, read everything you can...oh yeah, and play ALOT of video games. Learn what they are looking for and where they look, then you'll get your answer on what school to go to. Learn to adapt so if you go to school and you suck at drawing, go into audio, programming, or story-telling, even history classes are relevant to game development.

Even if you decide that game development is not for you, at least you can figure that out before you spend time and money at an industry-specific school. It may seem like a five-year job interview, but you need to take this approach so the right people know who you are and how serious you are when your demo reel comes across their desk. Hope this helps, good luck!!!
