what role does social responsibility play in film and media ? should there be censorship?

    No. Censorship is used to violate the rights of individuals and limits personal freedom. It is the tool of a corrupt, elitist state to suppress dissent. It is used to legislate religion, prejudice, social order and values. Art and literature should exist independently without government funding and interference. America has produced great art and literature because of free speech and an absence of censorship.

    The movie viewer has the responsibility to watch what they want and to avoid what they think is "bad".

    Censorship is pure evil and stifles creativity and freedom of expression.

    Hitler had a good censorship program going as did Stalin in the USSR.
