HELP, my doctor told me to douche and I have a yeast infection?

HELP, my doctor told me to douche and I have a yeast infection?

My doctor wasn't able to give me an appt til later on today and the discomfort was unbearable I was in tears this morning so he directed me to go get a vinegar douche and douche.

I though douching was bad. I did it already but now I am looking on the internet and every where says douching is BAD for yeast infections! WTF!

i already did a 3 day treatment and then after that didn't work i had one Diflucan pill prescribed. I haven't gone to the doctor yet, I'm wondering if it even IS a yeast infection. It won't go away and just gets more itchy and swollen.

Update:

oops sorry wrong section. I'm not ttc.

Update 2:

divine - may I email you, I have a few more questions. PLease email me and I respond with my Qs. Thanks

Great book! I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms https://tr.im/NaturalRemedyYeastInfection

    Note that:

If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment. If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

About 2 years ago, I developed a severe case of vaginal yeast infection https://tr.im/TreatmentYeastInfection

    Note that:

Before you buy any medication from an online pharmacy you should consider doing some inquiry on the company first. You only get inadequate information from those pharmacies that can't be trusted. You should be able to get enough and convincing information after searching from search engines such as Google and from lists of legit directory of Pharmacies. As those that get defrauded commonly release something over the internet to warn others. You need to find comfort from trusting an online pharmacy before placing an order. Follow pharmacies that are accredited by the VIPPS or Vet-VIPPS programs without prescription

i think its something more than a yeast infection and what stupid doctor told you to douche get another doctor that doc sucks when you get a chance call him or her and let him no don't eva give you the wrong advice

  • douching bad = can cause yeast infection. once you have the yeast infection it couldn't make it much more worse. should have tried putting some plain yogurt with active bacteria on a tampon and insert it for some relief and possible cure. or bought some monistat!

If you know he's wrong and he's given you medical advice that contradicts all the medical advice that you have found for yeast infection - well, any vaginal infection, why are you sticking with him? Besides if it's a yeast infection it should have responded by now.

okay, your doctor is an idiot! douching will just spread the bacteria around further into the very delicate areas of your body. I would go to a walk in clinic. NOT THE EMERGENCY ROOM! go to a walk in clinic or an after hours clinic, tell them you can't see your doctor because he's too busy and ask if you can get the Diflucan prescription. And then immediately change doctors! Good luck.
