Ah, I see the misleading ads are working. Here it is. If your gross income is less than $250,000 a year, your taxes will not go up. If however you make less than $200,000 you will get a tax CUT. McCain's ads exploit this distinction to mislead voters, and they know this. According to the Obama campaign, Joe Biden's citation of $150,000 was merely an illustrative example those who would receive a tax cut. It was not intended to be the maximum income one could earn to benefit from Obama's tax cuts. According to Mark Murray and Mike Memoli of NBC news, Obama's tax plan would work as follows:
$0-$18,891 = $567 tax cut
$18,982-$37,595 = $892 tax cut
$37,596-$66,354 = $1,118 tax cut
$66,355-$111,645 = $1,264 tax cut
$111,646-$160,972 = $2,135 tax cut
$160,973-$226,918 = $2,796 tax cut
$226,919-$603,402 = $121 tax increase
$603,403-$2.87 million = $93,709 tax increase
$2.87 million-plus = $542,882 tax increase

Good question. He's been stringing people along with this $250k amount. But his recent add says $200k. And on Monday Biden said $150.
Is this the kind of "change" we can expect from Obama?

he is just preparing those of you who actually earn a income of any amount, that he is going to raise your taxes. The longer this goes, the more he drops the numbers of who he is going to tax. And it is going to be middle class americans.
Talk to a small business owner who makes 200-250,000 a year and they will tell you that by the time they are finished paying their bills for their business and making their payroll, they themselves make very little, and are considered middle class. And small business is going to be taxed according to the Obama tax plan 68%, that leaves the small business owner keeping 32 cents of every dollar they make. big business tax right now is 33%, and it will rise 2% to 35%. Now Dem's have always prided themselves for being against big business......looks to me they are against small business....and small business employs the greatest number of least educated (HS drop outs, non college educated) people in america. The people who work for me, already know that if Obama is elected, I will close my doors come Jan. We are working our rumps off right now, so that I can give them a great bonus prior to christmas. 32 cents of every dollar, well I just can't pay them out of that, and earn a living myself, and pay my business expenses. They are already preparing because I have not kept this a secret, they know what we bring in, and they know that during the slow times, I pay them over myself. I have truly been blessed by the people that work with me, and I am grateful that they understand. They know what my books look like, and know that when we are taxes 68%, that I can no longer afford to remain in business. This is the same with a friend of mine who owns their own business, she too will be closing, she just couldn't understand why my employees has seen my books, I have nothing to hide, my book keeper showed us, how it is now, and what it will be like when we are taxed 68%, and we all agreed that I cannot remain in business, and pay them. It is that simple. So if you work for a small business, get prepared to be unemployed come Jan. unless this business is making far more than 250,000 and only has one or 2 employess will they be able to remain in business.

JFK did lower taxes but that's before the party was infiltrated by the left.
Obama said people making over 250k would be taxes more, than Obama said people making 200k will be taxes more, and now Biden said people making 150k would be taxes more.Who's Next? The McDonald works or the casher at Wal-Mart.

The funny thing is that the tax cuts are a joke. If you make $100,000 to $200,000 you get like a $100. I'm not willing to sell my freedom and risk losing my job for $100.

his policy is any family making under $250,000 a year will get a tax break, but what he never says is what the extent of that tax break is.

I make well over the limit, I will not get a cut. So what? I'm comfortable. Seems fair to me.

He has said in every debate (and this is also available on his website) that his definition of "rich" are those families making $250,000. You should do your research.

I believe Obama has said Consistently 250,000, even reaffirmed it last night. Point blank if your income is less than 250,000 you won't see a single increase in taxes
What part of that you Republiklans don't understand?
