Could someone translate this Latin phrase to English?

I need this translated; it's a quote from Thomas Merton:

quae vide tur non est spes

I think it's something like: See these things "tur?" not is hope

    It's from Romans 8:24. The full quote is:

    spes autem quae videtur non est spes

    Which translates to:

    But hope that is seen is not hope.

    "Tur' is not a separate word - it's part of 'videtur', 3rd person singular, present passive of videre, 'to see.'
