All American Girl-Meg Cabbot: About A Girl Who Saves The Presidents Life And She Falls In love With The Presidents Son. (Very Good Book!) The Alchemist-Paulo Coelho: it's About A Boy Who Is Trying To Find His Personal Legend. (very Good, Very Inspiring, It's A Little More Advanced Reading But It's Very Good) A Time For Dancing-Davida Wills Hurwin: About Two Best Friends Who Are Dancers. One Of Them Gets Cancer, Its About What They Both Go Through. There's Some Boy Drama In There Too. (extremely Good Book!) Life In The Fat Lane-Cherie Bennett: About A Girl Who Had The perfect Life, She Was Popular, Was In Pageants But Then She Started Putting On Weight And Her Life Totally Changed. (Pretty Entertaining) My Bloody Life-Reymundo Sanchez: It's The Story Of A Guy Who Has Been In The Latin Kings (the gang) and the experiences He Went Through. (I've Only Read Like Half Of It But Everyone Says Its Super Good)

    Uglies is a GREAT book.

It's not really fantasy, it's Sci-Fi/realistic fiction about the future.

It's about a time in the future where all 16 year olds are given a surgery to make them look "pretty". Little do they know, but this surgery also damages their brain. This story is the tale of a girl named Tally who meets another teenager, Shay, and together they attempt to fight the "Specials" that try to conform them all.

It's a fantastic book with only a very small portion of romance.

I'm not sure of the page length but there is a great book called "A child called It." I strongly reccomend it. It isn't romance or fantasy.

It would help if you could say what genres you do like. Below is a tentative list of books that might fit into your list:

    Animal Farm

    The Giver

    Shakespere's Julius Ceasar

How about biographies? Try A Boy Called It, The Hiding Place(by Corrie Ten Boom), or a biography of someone you admire.

You can also look into horror, if that's more your type, lots of stuff out there by Stephen King and R. L. Stine are good for teens.

You can also go for a classic, like The Yearling, or some Mark Twain. There's plenty of stuff out there, just go check out your local library!

Try Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer. It's relatively short, but a very good book and a quick read.

    Source(s): God.

I would say the obvious, Twilight (it's a romance)

    Maximum Ride

    Eragon

    Gone

almost all of the other books i have read are romances for teens. they arent all about romance though. you should give them a chance.

Wow. So then ur kinda screwed finding a TEEN book that doesn't include romance or fantasy. I can't think of a single one.
