i am thinking about getting an inner lip tattoo.

but i am having a hard time deciding what word i would want.

i was also wondering the price of one.

&& i keep hearing that they only last about 6 years.

is this true?

dumb place to get a tattoo,

how are you going to show it off by pulling your lip down all day?

but it is your choice, dont mean to be rude or anything like that.

oh and about the pain that is a very delicate and sensitive area soo probably will be painful.

Well, I would assume around 60-70$ since most tattoos are a minimum of 50$.

Yes they only last a certain amount of time because that skin changes and sheds so much the tattoo disappears after a while. I am not sure exactly how long.

It will not hurt that bad, all tattoos usually feel about the same unless you are getting inner arm, ribs etc.

  • Inner lip tattoos DO NOT keep very long. The skin in the mouth is constantly regenerating. Its not like other skin and tissue in the body. A lot of artists that I know won't even do them.

You'd be lucky if they last a year let alone 6 years.

I don't suggest you do it.

They're tattoos. They ARE permanent. They may fade, but they're permanent! I paid $80 for mine a year ago (it just says "I Love You"). It's still clearly visible, because, like I said, tattoos are permanent. Think about it long and hard before you go pay money to get something "cool" marked on your body.

  • all of your questions have been asked many times before

using the searchbar is helpful for everyone.......

1 - if you don't know what you want, you shouldn't get one

....so I hope you're not asking for ideas

2 - you would be lucky to have an inner lip tattoo last 6 years

a lot of times, they never even fully heal before they're mostly gone

3 - nobody can tell you how painful something will be to you

....from what I hear, it's not as bad as a lot of other places on the body

Inner lip tattoos fall out SUPER easily. Personally I wouldn't even bother making an appointment just to get my inner lip tattooed, I'd just have my tattoo artist do it while I was getting something else done. "Hey, as long as you are doing this tattoo on my arm, want to really quick bust out a tattoo on my inner lip?"

How well it stays in varies from person to person. I know a gal who has one that stayed for a couple of years before she needed a touchup but I know a BUNCH of people who got them done and they had fallen out within days. One guy I know got his done and by that NIGHT it had almost completely fallen out. I heard a story from another gal who got "POISON" tattooed on her inner lip but realized it was spelled wrong so she went home and removed it. With a toothbrush. Let me restate that. She REMOVED HER TATTOO WITH A TOOTHBRUSH. That sort of gives you an idea how well they stay in.

Don't bother with it if you are expecting it to stay in, you should really consider this more of a "play" tattoo, something that you won't be disappointed with if it falls out the same day.
