Will Obama support Israel?

When they asked Obama if he would support Israel if Iran attacked or wait for the UN's input, he danced around the question and I did NOT hear a definite answer! Did I miss it or is he really anti-Israel?

I noticed that too. He went off on a tangent talking about how he felt it would be bad if Iran developed nukes and that the U.S. needed to have talks with Iran about that but he never answered the question itself (i.e. would he come to Israel's defense if Iran attacked). So no, you did not miss it. But that does not mean he is against Israel either. He's trying to walk a fine line about wars till he gets elected as he is afraid to piss of the moveon.org people.

Added: Just watched it a second time. He did voice support for Israel and that he would go to bat for them as far as talking with other nations (like maybe going before the U.N.). So I guess his answer to the original question asked at the debate was that he would seek U.N. support before giving military help to Israel.

Yes, he's repeatedly stated his support for Israel. However, on the other side of the coin, a president that sought the UN is also wise, and not anti-Israel.

No, I dont believe Obama would have Israel's back if they were attacked. I think Obama would go diplomatic instead of attacking back. I don't think Obama has the leadership or the guts to go to war with anyone. He's a Yellow-bellied Coward!!

Every American president has, does, and will continue to provide financial, strategic, and political support to Israel. Always, now, and forever. If you think anything different, consider yourself unqualified to talk about both national and international politics.

You didn't hear his answer, because he hates Israel and just can't let you know it! Us Americans have ways of finding out the truth, though, so all of his corrupt terrorist ties are about to be exposed! Here's proof from the middle eastern newspaper itself! http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/Hamas

Obama will make sure he will "take good care" of Israel (if you know what I mean.) Just as he will take care of all us America pigs .... here .... watch this video from Obama's Kenyan Muslim brothers, it'll scare the HECK out of you! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08iomNFrzU4

Of course he will. Are you kidding.

Sarah Palin is the one in the anti-semitic Church. Why do you think she felt it necessary to say she "loves Israel" in the VP debate.

  • Of course he supports Israel

I think he made his answer pretty clear

Just because you don't like him doesn't mean that you can just deliberately misrepresent what he said

    It's a certainty.

He did claim he would be willing to engage in dialogue with Iran and North Korea, however.
