Firefox isn't faster that's one of the big issues, the problem is too many people download FF because some website or Neo-wannabe' told them it was faster, safer, or whatever other rubbish is being spoken, of which it is neither, people use it because they think they're rebelling against "da' man".
You've been told it's faster, and you believe it without doing any research or studying yourself, because it gives the indication that you're clued up, however, that's only amongst people who know nothing about computers, those of us in the know laugh our rear-ends off every time we read this tripe, (hence, those in the know, don't use FF, and those who ain't in the know, claim they're in the know, and use FF).
The only decent ones are the internal browsers, think, if FireFox was any decent, Microsoft would've bought them out years ago, (I've actually seen screen-dumps of FF using nearly 2gb of memory to run, you can't tell me that's faster).
There's a reason why Windows has IE and Macintosh has Netscape; they're the best on the market, both of these companies could buy FireFox with their lunch-money and still have enough spare to buy out Shell if they wanted to, but they don't, because the 3rd party browsers are total rubbish, and only used by people who know nothing about computers who think they know everything about computers, because some biased website told them that FireFox was safer, (out of all of the 3rd party browsers, FireFox is one of the slowest and easiest to target, due to it's open-source nature).
Think, since it's Open-Source, that means anyone with hacking/cracking knowledge can exploit any weaknesses in the system, and disguise it as a widget, for example, with my experience, I could program such a widget that wouldn't be detected by an Anti-Virus, and do pretty much whatever I wanted to do, for the most part, FireFox fanboys will just tout their "rebelling against da' man" rubbish to comfort themselves, most other 3rd party browser users will realise the logic here).
The reason you're getting tons of viruses and worms on your system isn't because you're using IE instead of FF, or because you're using Symantec instead of AVG, it's because you're using P2P clients and Torrents to look at nudie pictures of girl-on-girl action, and refuse to accept the reason for your computers sorry state is human incompetance, in this case, the person using FF and thinking they're safe, then still looking at a picture of some carpet action.
Either way, it's your funural, and it makes my life as an alpha/beta tester easier if I don't have to worry about some 13-year old Neo-wannabe' rebelling against "da' Man", whilst I'm looking for weaknesses in a product primarily for IE and NN.
