ACORN, doesn't just grown on a tree..

He has been very active in SUPPORTING ACORN - with Bill Ayers - ... with hundreds of thousands of dollars in support while a Chicago Senator and US Senator. DOCUMENTABLE.

Are the legit? As of today, 8 October 2008

    * Yesterday, Nevada officials raided ACORN's Las Vegas office after election authorities accused the group of submitting multiple voter registrations with fake and duplicate names. Among the bogus monikers: names of former Dallas Cowboys players.

    * Lake County, Ind., election officials this month rejected thousands of registration forms ACORN had turned in from its drives this summer. On a conference call yesterday, GOP officials noted that up to 11,000 of the applications were no good - tying up election officials and jeopardizing the voting rights of untold victims whose identities may have been stolen.

In what seems to be ACORN's standard operating procedure, vote canvassers had pulled names and addresses from phone books and forged signatures. According to a local paper (the Northwest Indiana and Illionois Times), "Large numbers of voter registration forms bore signatures all in the same apparent handwriting style" and "apparently the organization's canvassers broke rules to meet ACORN-set voter registration quotas to get paid." The fake registrants include dead people and underage kids.

    * Milwaukee, Wisc., officials last month discovered at least seven felons employed as voter-registration workers for ACORN and another affiliated group. (State law bans felons from such work.) They also uncovered a raft of problematic voter-registration cards. The state GOP accuses the group of trying to get dead, imprisoned or imaginary people on the voter rolls. Fraud has plagued ACORN's Milwaukee chapter since the last election cycle.

    * In Florida, in Orange County alone, ACORN workers turned in multiple, copycat forms for six separate voters over the summer. The Miami Herald reports: "One individual had 21 duplicate applications."

Election officials had flagged ACORN's negligent practices months ago. But it may be too late: In Orange, Broward and Miami-Dade counties, ACORN has signed up 135,000 new voters, nearly 60 percent of them registered as Democrats - a fifth of all new voters in that region.

    * In Ohio, large numbers of homeless people got free van and bus rides to register. Shelby Holliday, a reporter for Palestra.net, filmed ACORN shuttling in some prospects. She told me she spoke with one homeless woman who said ACORN "told her who to vote for if she wanted a 'better life,' and told her not to worry about jury duty (one of the reasons this homeless woman didn't want to register) because the government probably wouldn't be able to track her down. She was registering with a temporary address."

What is the BIG Deal about Obama and ACORN?

A truly thorough research into his background will bring up questions.

Experience. None. Chicago Politics. George W Bush had 2 terms as Texas Governor... Not a supporter of him, but he had more experience than Obama and you see the mistakes he caused. What will a professional politician with no experience do? He will trust his advisors... Like Bush trusted Cheney... and you see how well that worked.

Why would he attend a church for 20 years where volitile points of view are accepted and studied rigorously? Does that mean he is racist? What would the media do if John McCain attended an all-white church with volitile European centric minded points of view?

Friends, everyone has at least one friend. If only your pet dog, Rover. But in Chicago, your political friends and associates can make or break you... So, what is with William Ayers, Tony Rezko, Bernadette Dohrn, Nadhami Auchi, and many others? Now, look at your friends. Your friends are somewhat of a reflection of who you are. Doves generally associate with doves, lambs generally keep with lambs, and yes liberals generally associate with other liberals...

Family, even more an indication of influences... 1) Father - Muslim... 2) Brother (Abongo 'Roy' Obama )- Muslim running for office and attempting to institute Sharia law... Obama supports him in his endeavours... 3) "Cousin" (Odinga) - self-proclaimed Kenyan Christian, made campaign promise to institute Sharia law in muslim territories, received campaign financing from Khadafi, Obama campaigned on his behalf to such an extent that Kenya made a formal complaint to State Dept., attempted a coup after he lost the election, Marxist educated in Soviet Union, rabidly anti-Israel

His voting record. Speaks for itself, it's also online. One key vote was the "Born Alive" bill, now a federal law. He has distorted how the bill was presented to him and why he voted twice against it.. it mirrors the federal law protecting abortion rights. If he were a Christian, would they vote against this bill. NARAL was not even giving this bill any grief.

Socialist? Probably. He wants to redis

remember how he says being a community organizer was some amazing experience that helped prepare him for presidency? well, what orginization do you think he was involved with? He helped to force banks to give out loans to poor people (mostly minorities) and the banks did because ACORN threatend to expose these institurions as being racist and disriminitory if they didn't. Naturally, these poor people couldn't pay back anything, and now we're in a mortgage mess...that Obama helped create in his own small "community organizing" way.

Y'know, this is just like the campaigns. You throw out an association, but you don't explain what it would mean were the candidate elected. Lawyers represent bad guys, but that doesn't make them bad guys themselves. If there's more to it than that, say so--especially you who provided a link. Why not summarize what that link says (unless it doesn't) about how this association will....will what? Make Obama hand the government over to some radiculs (as one person spelled it).

If you think that, then you must have a really low opinion of this country, its constitution and the checks and balances it is proud of that has kept extremists from reaching its highest levels for over 200 years.

Yup, I've started thinking that those folks who think this country is so...whatever...that it would elect some "dangerous radical" have themselves an embarassing low opinion of the country they claim to love and be so proud of.

Educate yourselves so you can use your judgment and reasoning--and do your country proud (for once).

It's true that he is or was very involved with them, more than people think. Obama has the liberal Dems so bamboozled, it's not funny. I still can't believe they will vote for someone that won't salute the flag and has a "priority" to send $845-billion to Africa!!!! I won't send 2-cents if I can help it!!!--will cost each taxpayer OVER $2,500.

It's a matter of record. He always talks about his community organizer days. That's what Acorn is.

ok as a fashion to set the record at cutting-edge i'm a hundred% against Obama. that being stated if McCain lost by a small margin i could could desire to examine voter fraud as a workable excuse yet he won by plenty. the yankee public, in spite of the undeniable fact that ignorant, have spoken and he's the President and rightfully so. I in basic terms ask your self whether my kin is risk-free in a rustic that believes peace is a one sided argument.

The following is from an article in 2004, before Obama became known:

""This is especially true in Florida, where the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) is the subject of a state investigation for potentially criminal voter-registration activity....

Most of these programs are conducted locally, by state-level ACORN organizations — which are often set up as 501(c)3 nonprofit entities distinct from the national ACORN umbrella, a 501(c)4 lobbying organization. Sounds benign enough — except that, according to Bob Huberty, executive vice president of the Capital Research Center, these tax-exempt 501(c)3s "have no reason for existence other than to get grants from the government and foundations." They are, essentially, an ACORN front for asking Uncle Sam to subsidize political activity....

The nominal purpose of those millions is to "provide low rent housing & loan counseling services to low income individuals." But if the government is funding the actual, legitimate work of ACORN at the local 501(c)3 level, it means that the national lobbying organization can dedicate more of its unrestricted resources to electioneering....

According to an EPI study, when the ACORN Housing Corp. applied for the grant, they denied any connections to the main ACORN lobbying group (the grant is not for political advocacy). But the AmeriCorps inspector general discovered that "not only was AHC created by ACORN, engaged in numerous transactions with one another, and sharing staff and office space — but it utilized the AmeriCorps grant to increase ACORN membership, a violation of federal guidelines."...

The EPI study documents ACORN's involvement in an $850,000 labor-union embezzlement scheme in the late 1990s; in 2003, ACORN was found to have violated the National Labor Relations Act and was ordered to "rehire and pay restitution to employees terminated for attempting to form a union."...

ACORN tried to exempt itself from California's minimum-wage requirements. According to EPI, "ACORN argued that being forced to pay higher wages would mean that they would hire fewer employees — the very dilemma faced by businesses. Incredibly, ACORN stated that paying its employees a lower wage would allow them to be more sympathetic to the low- and moderate-income families they were attempting to help. ACORN argued that abiding by the state minimum wage would limit their ability to promote their agenda and would therefore be a violation of their First Amendment rights."...

Florida ACORN also registered thousands of felons — who, under Florida law, are ineligible to vote. They can, technically, apply for a restoration of civil rights; according to former Florida ACORN worker Mac Stuart — who has filed a whistleblower lawsuit against his ex-employer — ACORN exploited this hope in order to get felons to sign voter-registration cards. "We'd go up to them and say, 'Want your civil rights restored?' That's the pitch we were using. But those forms are not worth the paper they're printed on...

NRO's requests for a comment in response to Stuart's allegations went unanswered. In other media, however, ACORN has dismissed the charges, blaming the individual whistleblower for any wrongdoing. This internal e-mail, however — in which Florida ACORN head organizer Brian Ketterning says Stuart is dangerous, "as he knows too much" — suggests that ACORN may, in fact, have something damaging to hide.

    NONPARTISAN?

Granted, Amendment 5 did have other, non-monetary purposes. While Ketterning acquired funding for Floridians For All on the explicit promise that it was promoting a nonpartisan minimum-wage ballot initiative, a copy of Floridians For All's own campaign plan indicates otherwise.

The first paragraph of the plan reads:

A Florida constitutional amendment initiative to create a minimum wage of $6.15 with indexing will help defeat George W. Bush and other Republicans by increasing Democratic turnout in a close election, will deliver wage gains to at least 300,000 Floridians, and will catalyze the construction of permanent progressive political infrastructure that will help redirect Florida politics in a more progressive, Democratic direction...""

You can search and find more.

    And about Keating...

{By March 1987, Riegle was telling Gray that "Some senators out west are very concerned about the way the bank board is regulating Lincoln Savings," adding somewhat ominously, "I think you need to meet with the senators. You'll be getting a call."[10] Keating and DeConcini were asking McCain to travel to San Francisco to meet with regulators regarding Lincoln Savings; McCain refused.[11][7] DeConcini told Keating that McCain was nervous about interfering.[7] Keating called McCain a "wimp" behind his back, and on March 24, Keating and McCain had a heated, contentious meeting.[11]

On April 9, 1987, a two-hour meeting[4] with three members of the FHLBB San Francisco branch was held, again in DeConcini's office, to discus

Why BHO has something to do with ACORN

    1) He trianed their staff in ways to get banks to give loans out ot those who couldn't pay them back, or else the bank would lose its license

    2) He was their councel for several court cases.

    3) He has successfully funnelled money to them on more than one occasion

    4) He is good friends with the founder.

    Is that enough for you???
