Is it true that Todd Palin supports Alaskan independence and feels that the USA isn't good enough for Alaska?

Update:

"Todd Palin Was Registered Member of Alaska Independence Party Until 2002, a radical group that advocates for Alaskan secession"

Good for him. It won't be long before Americans all over the country will be throwing the tea back into the harbor. Don't confuse the word "USA" with the word "government."

There was another radical group who advocated for independence and succession. They filed a paper concerning this in 1776.

Since Sarah took the gloves off, I'm happy to report that according to TPM:

If Palin is going to say this, it is now perfectly legitimate to point out that she repeatedly courted a secessionist group founded by someone who openly professed hatred of the American government, cursed our flag, and wanted to secede from the Union. Sarah's husband, Todd Palin, was a member of this group, which continues to venerate that founder to this day, for years.

Sometimes, I don't think the USA is good enough for Virginia, frankly. Sometimes, you just love your state more than your country. That's one of the "okay" parts of living in a republic.

On the other hand, Todd Palin left the AIP six years ago, so he must not believe that anymore.

Yes, and since Gov Palin gave the welcome speech at their convention, she supports this also
