    2.What do Ralph and Piggy find in the small lagoon? A large pink- and cream-colored conch shell.

    3.How does Ralph summon the others? Ralph blows air into the shell so it produces a loud whistle. The sound has attracted other survivors from the crash.

    4.Who is elected chief? Ralph

    5.For what purpose does Jack Merridew want his choir used? Hunters

    6.what assignment does Ralph give Piggy instead of allowing him to join the exploration expedition? Stay with the other boys

    7.who does Ralph select to accompany him on the expedition? Simon and Jack
