    Hard to say... try these:

Gretchen Wilson - All Jacked Up

Charlie Daniels Band - Long Haired Country Boy

Alan Jackson - I'm In Love WithThe Waitress (I Don't Even Know Her Name)

Garth Brooks - Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old)

Garth Brooks - Papa Loved Mama

Hank Williams Jr - All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight

Ricky Skaggs - Highway 40 Blues

Sawyer Brown - The Race Is On

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Fishing In The Dark

...etc. Don't forget Van Halen did Roy Orbison's "Pretty Woman" and an a cappella version of Roy Rogers' "Happy Trails". There's a lot of great stuff but you may have to muddle through a lot of muck!

I used to play in a metal band. And these are a few things country I like.

Copperhead Road by Steve Earle, Anything Johnny Cash, Keg in the Closet by Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley has pretty good guitar solos in his songs.

I absolutely despise modern country music, but I do like one modern country album. Chris Ledoux Live. His regular albums aren't as energetic and sound flat. Classic country has some decent tunes...Eddy Arnold comes to mind..but that's all I can think of at the moment.
