How do you recycle felt markers?

I've got a whole lot of them that are completely dry.

It doesn't really say on the box or anywhere on the web exactly how to recycle them.

I'm pretty sure there's a lot of people who want to know, or at least should know :)

they're non-toxic crayola markers by the way :)

I'm afraid you can't recycle them. However, it's good they are non-toxic! If you're interested in recycling other household items, consult this cool website in the future. It use it all the time.

Look under archives for a list of basically everything :)

If you mean getting them to work again by replacing the ink, you can't.

If you mean disposing of them in a "green" way, you can't. The casings are made of non-recyclable plastic which will never bio-degrade. The points are made of felt or nylon which will eventually bio-degrade, but may release toxic chemicals if they used permanent ink. Non-permanent (erasable) markers do not contain any toxins.

    Your concern is commendable, nevertheless.

Additional: No, sorry; still can't be recycled. But certainly less damaging than the ones with toxic ink.
