How would I change the color of a car to black or from black in Adobe Photoshop CS3?
I have been playing around with CS3 for a while and i've learned how to change colors of cars to pretty much anything except black. Also, if i try to start out with a black car, i just doesn't change correctly. Help?

Here is an excellent tutorial for you that does precisely what I think you are aiming to achieve.
They make using the Polygonal Lasso tool look alot easier than it is, but you will perfect it with a little practice. It's the only way to get crystal clear results.
I hope this helps - good luck.

First select the part you want to turn to black and white. Now choose Layer->New adjustment layer -> Black and white that's all. The big advantage is that by painting on the mask of the adjustment layer, you alter the part that has to be B&W without altering the picture. Just experiment with the sliders in the B&W dialogue until you are satisfied.

Well with a lot of black cars there just won't be enough color information to change the color and not have it look a little strange. Here's an example I made from a black car I found, I used Hue / Sat with the colorize option.Source(s): http://www.GFX-Help.com
