Hello, I was just wondering if you'll could give me some help on my Algebra here. Some of them I know the answer to but not to sure if I am right. Could I please get some feedback

6x^2 * 7x^3 my answer 42x^5

x^2 + 4x+1=0 my answer (x+2) (x+2)

z^2- 8z=9 my answer no solution

–2x < 14 for x my answer x < –7

Relevance

2-5x=x+6

2=6x+6

Subtract 6 from both sides

-4=6x

Divide x by 6

-4/6=x

Simplify

x=-2/3

42x^5 is correct

(x-3)(2x+5) is correct

x^2+4x+1 has no real roots. You can't factor it

z^2-8z-9=0

(z-9)(z+1)

z=9 or z=-1

4^(-3) means 1/(4^3), which is 1/(4*4*4), which is 1/64

When you divide both sides of an inequality by a negative number, you have to flip the inequality direction

-2x<14 becomes

x>-7

• number 1. is wrong...the answer is x= -2/3

number 2. is right!

number 3. is right!

number 4. is wrong use the quadriatic formula to solve.

number 5. is (x-9) (x+1) {You are suppose to bring the 9 over to the other side and solve it from there. If they want you to solve for x than the answer is x=9 x= -1}

number 6. is 1/64

number 7. is x> -7 {When you divide by a negative you switch the greater of less than sign}

• Number 1 is wrong.

2 - 5x = x + 6

- 5x = x + 4 <--Subtracted the two from the left side.

- 6x = 4 <--Subtracted the x from the right side.

x = -4/6 <--fraction

x = -2/3 <--simplified

Number 6 is wrong.

4^-3 is 64. It's not negative because when it is squared, it turns negative (Pos * Neg = Neg). Then when it is put to the NEXT power it turns positive (Neg * Neg = Pos).

Other than that I'm pretty sure that you're right. glhfddkads

• Sorry but It's been so long that I don't remember how to do most of these but on the 1st one, it should look like:

2-5x=x+6

-5x-x=6-2 <- When you change sides be sure you change signs

-6x=4

-6x/-6=4/-6 <- divide both sides by -6

x=4/-6 which reduces to x=-2/3

• WHAT GRADE ARE YOU IN?

&& I CAN'T EVEN DO MY OWN ALGEBRA!

BUT MY SISTER SAYS SO FAR THE FIRST THREE ARE RIGHT!

BUT ALL REST WE DIDN'T CHECK MY SISTER IS STUDYING TO BE A HIGH SCHOOL PROFESSOR OR WHAT EVER BUT YEA SO WHAT GRADE ARE YOU IN??

• correct and just to make sure use a calculator

• Number one is wrong.

• You do realize that there are things called "calculators"..right?
