1/6 is larger than 1/12. If you convert 1/6 to a common denominator it becomes 2/12.

However if by "difference" you mean to subtract then the answer is:

    1/6 - 1/12

    2/12 - 1/12 = 1/12

    1/6 = 2/12 = 4/24

    1/12 = 2/24

So, 3/24 = 1/8 is one of the numbers between 1/6 and 1/12.

It's either all the other fractions everyone has submitted, or it's the "/" symbol. Trick question?
