Treason, laid out in the US Constitution, is the act of waging war on the US or aiding or giving comfort to its enemies.

The people who did that were the "economic terrorists" who raped, pillaged and robbed from Federally-insured financial institutions. They drive expensive cars and fly in private jets.

I say we should go after them, they screwed us big time.

Almost all of them are guilty in some respect, and to some respect even American citizens. The cost of warfare/welfare has been a burden on the economy by taxing the population at roughly 40% when you add up payroll tax, capital gains tax, sales tax, estate tax... Furthermore we have a trade deficit that is like a black hole in the economy. It was just a matter of time before the money from the rebate checks were used to buy something from China and then that dollar never came back. Of course if the consumer would buy American it would help alleviate this problem. Then you have the regulation of the bank that lead to the current crisis. I think most importantly and probably the organization with the most blame goes to the Federal Reserve. It has been inflating our dollar which reduces the value. This sent the price of oil and other goods up. They then made a knee jerk reaction of lowering interest rates which promoted borrowing. This borrowed money flooded its way into the economy and temporarily rebounded us from the tech boom. The problem is that it only works if the return is more then the interest. Otherwise people default and everyone associated with the loan loses. Of course the Fed makes a ton of cash for its private investors by charging the government interest on money that Congress and the treasury are capable of doing itself. I have seen estimates to the tune of 500 billion a year in interest.

The only people that I really cannot place blame on are the old school conservative like Ron Paul, and libertarians which I don't think there are any in congress at this time.

Treason is defined as betraying one's country. So what your asking is has Barack Obama betrayed the US. Which can really be stated as: Has he tried to harm the US. I think that the answer to this is no, regardless as to whether he has violated the constitution or not. However, I cannot find anywhere in the constitution tat it is illegal for the president to attack a country with or without Congress's approval. Furthermore, under your interpretation of Article 1, Section 9, Clause 8 of the Constitution, no American can sit on any international council (I don't think this is what the founding fathers meant). As for Samson, Alabama, a military officer took responsibility for sending the troops.

Yes anyone that votted for that bill should be voted out.

Today the bailout bill failed and the price of oil went down ten dollars a barrel. Is there a connection? The answer is yes. The high price of oil is being supported by the greedy investors around the world. If the American economy slows the price of oil will plummet. The weakness in the American economy can be directly related to the high price of oil. We cannot afford the ridiculous price of oil and the American economy shows it. I say this again, when the price of oil went sky high it ruined our economy. So passing the bailout bill will raise the price of oil and the money will go overseas. I would rather see the economy slow and the price of oil fall to where the economy can recover slowly. Mark my words, no bailout means cheaper gas. Write your Congressmen and Senators and tell them you are opposed to this bailout. The money in this bill will only go to wall street and the investors and foreign banks.

All the money from the bailout was going to wall street so how was it helping you. The market will take care of any bailout needed. Washington Mutual and Wachovia were already purchased by other banks. 3000 banks failed in the 1980s and we still survived. If they got this 700 billion they would be back in a couple of months for more money.

It wasn't done by a vote!!! For a serious economic problem to occur, it takes years, even decades to build. If the parties are responsible, so were the people who voted them in. We need a recession to occur every once in a while. Nothing goes up forever. The problem is that people gets so angry that they delay recessions so the problem builds the longer we delay a recession, the bigger the crash becomes.

If you remember why we voted Bush Sr out, it is because he caused a recession by down sizing the military and did not get Hussein. We voted Clinton and Bush Jr to Undo Bush's mistake. Evidently it wasn't a mistake.

You better think again before placing blame...........Try the American Voter for voting for all of the crooked politicians in D.C. That is where the blame is, voting for someone because you think they are handsome or cute or nice without ever checking the facts first.

Yes America, you have allowed all of this to happen to my county. I personally think it's time for a resolution to the political empire. They must all be held accountable and as the people of this once great nation it is up to us to take back our country and give the politician what for, and we can do this when we vote.

Lets tell them what we think. Become involved tell the morons that keep finding reason to spend your tax dollars on earmarks and pork that your " mad as H3LL and you want it stopped,ASAP.

People "you are the government" you have entrusted your country and your money to the people that you voted for and they aren't doing their jobs. What happens in the world of the worker if you don't do your job ? "YOU GET FIRED"!
