what do you think of my maid of honor gown?

Question

this is the dress I am wearing as the MOH for my boyfriends sisters wedding. The wedding is VERY formal. Her colors are blue white and silver. What do you guys think of the dress? I will also provide a picture of her dress.

Personally I think the two will clash terribly. I would be afraid that people would be looking at your dress rather than hers. But if that's what she wants then it's her wedding and you'll have to grin and bear it. Other wise I'd suggest something a tad more simple like these:

As the wedding dress has lots of detail in it i think your dress then looks way over the top and will distract from her dress. I don't personally like the combination but its her day and if this is what she wants then you should just put up with it for a day to make your friend happy.

Honestly I think it's a little over the top. There is too much going on with it and it's super "poofy". It may be a distraction from the bride. Bridesmaids dresses are usual simple, yet elegant. Not "prom-ish." Good luck.

why not consult with the bride. navy would fit in with the colours of the bride. black too heavy, and mint not with the blue.

why do guys have to give their opinion can't us gals do it too?

enjoy the day i am sure you will both look stunning.

edit: some places/people are not comfortable with strapless dresses and if not think about getting a lace bolero either in the same colour or a contrasting colour.

OH dear! I think it's awfull. She should choose a dress that you can wear again. And you will never be able to wear that anywhere bar a fancy dress party. It looks cheap and tacky. She really has no taste. I hope your not paying for it. Good luck.

i think both the dresses are beautiful. The bridesmaids dresses seem to compete with the bride though. I think everyone will look great seems like it will be a beautiful wedding

I don't like it. It's a prom dress - not really appropriate for a MOH dress.

Yeah, I have to agree that it was pretty poor taste of her to pick that dress. No one should ever be asked to wear a strapless dress (or did she check that you guys would be comfortable with that?). And I really don't know where you'd wear it again.

Yikes, I really dont like it. Its cheap looking, and has prom written all over it. Sorry, I would encourage the bride to choose something more tasteful.

sorry but I'm not a fan. It looks more like a costume than a bridesmaid dress.
