If price is not a factor, stay at the Maui Prince Hotel. It has a relatively secluded location with beach, golf course and superb accommodations. If, however, you want fun and low cost, try the Banana Bungalow. They offer free pickup at the airport, multiple activities that are guided and you'll be with other people who are both adventurous and friendly. You can also rent cabins at the Haleakula ranger station. Most people don't realize this, but you have the best view of the entire island from up there. Once again, it all really depends on what you like to do. But, you cannot go wrong with these.Source(s): www.princeresortshawaii.com, http://www.mauihostel.com/

When I was in Hawaii I was on Oahu. I stayed in the Waikiki Marriott and it was great.
I had a friend who absolutely LOVES Maui. I'm sure where ever you stay, you'll have a great time.
Have fun my friend!!!!
