Your solar and Ascendant are the two Water signs and indications, so i do no longer think of they're complete opposites, as you're saying. Taurus is the different of Scorpio and Virgo is the different of Pisces on the zodiac wheel. i'm happy with my increasing sign. It's worse when daylight savings starts & ends and you need to put your clocks forward or back an hour ? That is so hard to do with sun-dials.

...that depends on what part of the Planet you are setting up your Sun-Dial in relation to the Equator. (If you set it up at the North or South Pole...you're really going to have a problem)
