    (4/5) / (-3/10)

    = (4/5) * (10/-3)

    = 40 / (-15)

    = (40/5) / (-15/5)

    = 8 / (-3)

    = -8/3

    Hope this helps.

    -12/1 : 2/3 =

    -12/1 x 3/2 =

    -36/2 = -18

when fractions are being divided, the last fraction here which is in this case is 2/3 is turned back into 3/2 so it will become multiplication. That's the main rule.

How I would do this is first turn both of the number into fractions.

    -12/1 divided by 2/3

Then I would work it out normally, changing the division sign to the multiplication sign; as well as flipping over the second fraction.

    -12/1 x 3/2

After that I would work across as you should always do when multiplying fractions.

    -12/1 times 3/2 = -36/2

    Then, I would simplify:

    -18

    ----- = -18

    1

And there's your answer. Hope I helped!

All you do when you divide by a fraction is flip it and multiply!

So you can read -12 as -12/1 right?

    You want to do:

    -12/1 / 2/3... you flip the 2/3 to read 3/2 and multiply:

    -12/1 * 3/2 = -36/2 = -18

fractions suck, if i remember right, u have to make 12 a fraction then find a common denominator then solve, or do what i do, make the fraction a decimal, but that doesnt always work, it does in this case, it would be 12/.75, which is 16

00x xoo xxo oxx oox xoo xxo oxx oox xoo xxo oxx

    1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 11 12

count the sets of x and o add together and u get 18

or just take 1/2 and add it to it

okay flip the 2/3 and multiple it by -12

    so (-12) times (3/2)

    so it would be -18

make the fraction a decimal and divide
