    12 and 9 = 3

    24 and 16 = 8

    45 and 20 = 5

    12 and 42 = 6

    30 and 50 = 10

    36 and 12 = 12

    100 and 250 = 50

    What is the largest whole number that will divide into each pair without a remainder. Knowing your tables makes this an easy exercise.

    eg. 12 and 9 Could it be 3?
