Can someone with bipolar disease become a police officer in Ontario?

    no... everywhere in canada and here in the US to be a police officer.. they review your medical and psychological records and also give one of the hardest psychological tests (military is harder) you can ever be put thru. you have to remember that they do these tests and inquiries to make sure you wont snap on someone or go into a rage and hurt people. someone with bipolar(manic-depressive disorder) is too risky let be a police officer.

    Unfortunately no... they do not let people with bipolar become police officers. But they can be a detective.

    NO they do test to see if a person is "fit"to be a police officer
