    g(b) = -b^2+8 = b

    => b^2+b-8 = 0

    b = (-1±√33)/2

    g(b) = - b^2 + 8 = b

    b^2 + b - 8 = 0

    b = -1/2 +/-sqrt(33)/2

    b = -3.37 or 2.37.
