    some are classics

    like star wars

everyone who grew up with Star Wars probably wanted to go see it in theatres when a new one came out

Star Trek is usualy the same.

because they have fancy special effects that little kids like.

if a movie is made for kids that means a parent usually accompanies them, even if they dont like it, so double money.

Not all of them do, just like other movies that don't.
