    4x4 = 16 --> too little

    5x5 = 25

    6x6 = 36

    7x7 = 49

    8x8 = 64 ---> is too much

    Now i don't know if you use only whole numbers or fractions also, but it could basically be anywhere from 5x5 to just a little over 7x7

    Remember:

    Perimeter_square = 4 * side = 4s

    Given: the perimeter of a square garden is to be at least 24 feet but not more than 56 feet

    Means: 24 ≤ 4s ≤ 56

    24 ≤ 4s ≤ 56

    Divide all terms by 4.

    24/4 ≤ 4s/4 ≤ 56/4

    6 ≤ s ≤ 14

    The perimeter is at least 24 feet but not more than 56 feet when the side is at least 6 and equal to or less than 14.

    If only whole numbers are allowed, the side is 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, or 14 feet.

    6 * 4 = 24

    7 * 4 = 28

    8 * 4 = 32

    9 * 4 = 36

    10 * 4 = 40

    11 * 4 = 44

    12 * 4 = 48

    13 * 4 = 52

    14 * 4 = 56

    Perimeter of a square ,

    4 * sides = 4a (a is side)

    perimeter should be greater than or equal to 24 but less than 56.

    i.e, 24 <= 4a < 56

    ( 24/4) <= a < (56/4)

    6 <= a < 14

    the value of side can be in between 6 and 14

    Lucy is almost correct except I'd like to point out that the question states "no more" not "less than" so 14 is also possible
